    A dry and breezy night after the clearance of light rain early yesterday evening. Some clear intervals overnight but enough wind to prevent a ground frost.

    Currently a line of showers a few miles to the north of here, streaming south eastwards from Buxton and right across Polar Maritime's house by the look of it; here nothing more than a few very brief and light showers since 0600 g.m.t.

    At 0800 g.m.t;

    Temp; 5.0c

    24 hr max; 11.5c

    24 hr min; 2.6c

    Grass min; 1.1c

    Yes TM, Some sharp showers earl'er this morning have now cleared to leave a dry blustery overcast morning, An overnight low of 2.8c.

    Wind Chill 1.1c, West 18mph.

     

    If all goes to plan I should be moving to Holly Moor up Rowsley Bar in a month or two..

     Rowsley Bar, that's a vicious climb on the bike! Will you be higher or lower than you are now P.M?  You'll probably find slightly less rainfall there but plenty of opportunity for snow; it's an open, bleak and windy area at the top of Beeley Moor and Big Moor. 

    Still dry here with sunny intervals and the same line of showers moving east across the Buxton  and Bakewell area. Wind gusting to 38 mph.

    Just how I Iike it TM ! I will only be slightly lower at around 285m on Harewood Lane just off Beeley Lane , I have always wanted to live up there, all down the solicitors now ..  Yes Rowsley Bar is a real tester on the push bike, Ive only managed to get up once when i was younger and did my leg's know it !

The afternoon was cloudy, feeling chilly in the fresh westerly wind. The early evening saw a spell of light rain, clearing away before midnight.

    Heavy overnight rain cleared this morning with some sunshine. This then triggered off a number of heavy, blustery showers this afternoon and thunder has been heard within 5 miles in the last hour. A cool feeling day with a high of 12C.
