Heading north today as there now appears to be a few down days before the next system ejects into the plain. So today we are heading towards Ardmore and Turner Falls for some arty farty sunsets pictures before heading into Kansas tomorrow for a day of shooting guns on a farm.

Might be a 'bonus' opportunity today far W OK (reachable perhaps on the way up to W KS).

Meagre moisture may well be overcome by sharply veering wind profiles with height and a weak frontal bounday now edging into the TX panhandle.
Not a huge risk true but storms should develop - around Elk City, OK - late afternoon so lightning/structure chance.

Edit: RAP does develop a cell or two further N on the OK/KS border at 22Z. Might be worth a look for high-based LP cells as helicity is sufficient.

Rap continues to promote ppn on the 183 around Buffalo, OK and across and on the KS line from 23Z - perhaps enhanced by outlow from the current ppn developing in the same area and drifting SE during the early afternoon.

Not sure what you guys have planned today but it might be worth a detour on your way North.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
