Today we're heading off in to Kansas from our overnight stay in Ardmore, OK. Not much going on the next day or so but will keep an eye on stuff out to our west on the drive up as the RAP does show some precip.

We're going to spend the afternoon/evening with a Kansan family on the farm and enjoy the culture on mothers day :)

Okay change of plan! We have a chance of some storms firing in SW Kansas and moving in to NW OK :D We're going to head towards Woodward, OK and see how it plays out.

12Z NAM also shows possibility of an MCS system perhaps supercell by 00Z over NW OK so worth a look.

It's a bit on and off. Looks like they were driving through a very clear skied Woodward a moment ago.

yep, just noticed. Parked in Walmart I hope.

Facebook debate... can't chat in forum and watch live stream at the same time, unless you have two windows open. One for techies maybe, to see if they can accomodate

It wasn't a significant evening and was never likely to be but worth a punt IMO as you never know.

As for this week - something's got me asking questions! WEDS evening may be a sneaky event up in E KS, but the moisture profiles don't make sense with a band of 70F+ dps across N KS but lower values further south. The wind vectors at the surface indicate a frontal zone here, and with big CAPE available something should develop but not sure what!

SPC don't seem too bothered but they may be in the next update.

Edit: Just spotted a thread on Stormtrack - talking about pseudo-cold-warm-cold fronts and SW moving storms. All sounds a bit dodgy to me LOL.

It's a way off but Friday looks nice up in SD. It is my first chase day over there and quite probably out of reach for me without a 12 hour overnight drive. Hodographs around Seneca, SD look insane :) Could be a nice day before the day event with a more widespread event on Saturday. Would imagine the team could chase further South on the sat to not leave them too far from DFW on Sunday. Alteratively, we may get some dryline storms to play with further south on Friday (dependant on boudnaries from the previous day I imagine which is what I'm hoping for for personal reasons! Eitherway, it could well be a good end to Tour 1 if things play out! Best of luck everyone!
