A dry night with lengthy clear periods and a slight ground frost despite the f3-4 W/SW breeze.

Currently it's dry with sunny intervals and increasing Cu and Sc.

Light showery rain eventually cleared after midnight leaving variable cloud. The early morning has been bright with hazy sunny spells. Cloud bubbled up quickly with a light shower breaking out before the observation. Cloud continued to build with frequent short but heavy showers, one with hail during mid afternoon. Cool and windy.

Dry up to late morning; the rain arrived just before midday, showery at first, persistent by lunchtime.  Rather cold.  Maximum 14.1, minimum 6.8.  Wind moderate S.

Sunny intervals during the morning and gradually increasing amounts of Cu and high level cloud. A few light showers of rain and small hail around 1200 g.m.t followed by a cloudy afternoon with intermittent light rain from around 1430 g.m.t and persistent light rain from 1630 g.m.t.

Clear periods with ground frost last night.

Bright start clouded over with light rain by 10am. Spells mostly light rain through to early evening, since whien it has been a persistent heavy to very heavy fall. Driving in sleet down to 150masl recently, and there is a hint of sleet here now! Very cool day, moderate to fresh SE breeze has switched NNW this evening.

Rain since 10am today: 24mm and rising!
