    And some one explain why temperatures will reach 22'c in Scotland today, what setups cause this?

    Where did you see that forecast? Current maximum in Scotland appears to be 16ºC, I'm not sure that 22ºC will be reached?

     

    If it was forecast in Aberdeenshire (for example) this could be a Foehn wind effect off the Grampians?

    22c is forecast for Glasgow tomorrow (according to the week ahead forecast on BBC 1 earlier) which is likely to be the UK hot spot

    Altnaharra hit 20.9°c today at 15:00 some 10c hotter than the warmest place in the British Isles according to those TV adverts Jersey which is currently at just 10°c

    Cracking :) It's a lot warmer up north than further south, Edinburgh & Glasgow airports METAR reporting maxima of 14ºC so far today.

    Alot warmer up north? Are you joking? It reached 19c in London today - would hardly say it's alot warmer!

    He's clearly talking 'further south' as in the south of Scotland/central belt. And plus, Altnaharra was still warmer than anywhere in the south of England.
