Morning all

Uniform grey in Reigate, at least I am not travelling to the office today.  Chance of a few brighter intervals later?  The BBC TV forecaster mentioned the possibility of some wet snow on the Chilterns tonight......and Friday looks a bit bleak; wet, cold in the rain and quite windy. Needless to say, looking at that forecast, I am working at home on Friday as well!

Morning, yet more dark grey rubbish! How depressing the weather in this country can be, really hope it's not going to be a repeat of last year! Come on sun, burn this cloud away :)

Sorry to start the day on a downer, but i just can't raise enthusiasm about the dreadful dark and dreary start to the day yet again. Full lights-on drive into work and we are within sight of June, that just can't be right Posted Image

I'm afraid it doesn't get much better in the next few days as the cold returns:

Hi Coast, another day of leaden skies here, very frustrating the garden is looking very verdant and inviting but unfortunately is best viewed from behind the glass of the house window yet again.

In desperation to cheer you and me up I have even viewed lesser models this morning - definition of SAD looking at the GEM in May!Posted Image  I didn't make great reading but found this for 31st May

Hopefully the start of some summer warmth.

Like several others here I have been suffering from some ill health this winter and spring but try not to let it get me down too much, some summer weather would certainly cheer me up. Have got my two daughters coming home from Uni  next month which will be like a ray of sunshine on its own.

I look around the country and the world at all the terrible thing that happen and reflect that my life isn't too bad, I'm alive and kicking, free to do pretty much what I want, when I want, just would be nice to be under a blue sky!

Have a nice dayPosted Image

My optimistic thought of the day...Posted Image

Unless cold and rain is your thing, we are unlikely to see as crappy a day in the SE, as this Friday promises to bePosted Image , until mid to late October.

Hi all,

It ended up being a beautiful evening yesterday with clear blue sky and lovely warm sunshine.

Rinse and repeat unfortunately this morning with uniform yucky grey skies.

Close your eyes and listen to this and just imagine...........................

That's not fair - that is 2 seconds more than what I saw yesterday afternoon!

Joking aside, it turned out to be a nice sunny evening here in the end...  why it can't manage that during the day time is anyones guess!

Back out on the bike at lunchtime in attire more suited to an early October evening walk, than a late May cycle Posted Image

Frankly I want to know who's responsible for this, I want names now and I want to see those people in my office at afternoon break with some damn good excuses, or you know what will happen;

Sorry, Sir, you see, um, the thing is, I know it's really late but, what happened was that, in fact, actually in terms of why the sun is not here like, um, now, is because....... the dog ate it.......Posted Image

It must be nice outside there are two BT vans parked on the green opposite and the engineers are having a picnic carrying out essential maintenance, first time that's happened this year but it's a regular thing during the summer months, funny that Posted Image

Oh and thanks Jan....I've got that tune stuck in my head now Posted Image

Afternoon everyone, Posted Image

Back on line after a couple of days, after a fault at the local BT exchange, nice to have a fault rectified quickly for once. Well done BT. Posted Image

Still cloudy here in Chislehurst, although some breaks now showing. Have had to abandoning the gardening yet again due to some other business that needed taking care of. Must get it done next week now, without fail, well weather permitting anyway!

Regards to all,

Tom.
