I suppose it's better for most of us that the worst of the weather is forecast for tomorrow though, rather than the weekend. Posted Image

I'm hoping we will miss the worst of any winds and gusts down here tomorrow, although further North in the region may seem some activity as the low comes down from the North on our Eastern edge:

Into Saturday may be the worst in The Channel:

Quite a bit of rain with it too:

Here's the trouble maker on its route South:

OK, convective thoughts and charts for today and maybe Kent and East Sussex in for a small chance that I might miss as I'm having a stupid scan later Posted Image

I can't resisit, is a stupid scan scanning for stupidity? If so I hope they don't find to much! Either way, hope it all goes ok.

They don't need to carry out any great medical checks to prove that AH

Morning all,

Was very cold waiting for the train to work this morning.  I can't believe I am still in my winter coat and it's nearly June!

I'm working from an office that doesn't have any windows today, so gawd knows what the weather is like outside.  On my way into work though, it was broken cloud, windy and cold!

After a lovely end to the day yesterday here and a lovely start to the day today, it has now clouded over and is feeling a bit chilly. Current temp of 8.3° with a very slight but increasing breeze. So much for a couple of hours in the garden this afternoon, I think I'll wait til' Saturday.

Hail shower while driving down the M25 around Staines/Thorpe. TOO cold out there, only had jacket on and froze dropping son off at school. Husband had pictured a lovely meal by the river in Kingston today for his birthday, looks like an all-indoors affair:(

Hail shower here about 15 minutes ago

Jan,

We could have a Hail-Depth Cup, rulers ready.........only joking. I dont think I announced the result of the Snow Depth Cup, I know it was a 3 way final, sorry I was a bit busy with the move at the time. I'll have to go back and have a look at the archives but almost certainly it was a tie.

Some decent cells south of Birmingham now, heading into C.S.England and our area soon. Thunder looks a distinct possibility today. Posted Image

Have a lovely day all.

Regards,

Tom.

The sky is packed with Cbs. I'm not sure that they're deep enough just yet, though?

Massive crack of thunder, made me drop a cup and break it! Jeez...

Blimey, that's early, but about in the right area. See what happens later this afternoon.

Beautiful blue sky here at the moment, looks like the heaviest showers in this area are going to the west and east of me.

The really heavy stuff looks like it is moving from the south of Birmingham moving south east.

Not quite the stuff I saw last week in Texas, but Hail nonetheless.

Wait, it's stopped.
