Ended our epic trek on a fantastic super cell east of Rapid City. It was lovely to see. I know everyone got exceptional shots but here is a taster.

Yet again the high plains deliver with fantastic structures and amazing colours, very nice.

Yep was a great chase, started the day in Burlington (Colorado) and had a chase target of Chadron (Nebraska) this is where the higher dewpoints were being advected, between Chadron and Rapid City, got side tracked by a namby pamby storm south of Alliance and then blasted north into South Dakota, got onto the Storm east of Rapid City and watched it spin about for a few hours grabbing some pictures, we did see a mid level funnel cloud with this storm but other than that it was the structure that took over.

Well placed for tomorrow.

Do me a favour guys, don't kill the atmosphere in the High Plains. At this rate it's beginning to look like the final tour will be chasing the Canadian Prairies, given how everything seems to have gone north so early.

But its meant to be lovely in Canada at this time of year!!!  Well if I don't get a tornado on the plains, can I hope for a hurricane on my post-chase cruise... :)

Tom, looking at that video of yours, it appears to be only cell for miles given the number of chasers on it.

You are right there .  the usual suspects  Cloud 9,  Extreme Chase tours and Paul Sherman

Guys, can I suggest something. John Finney must be banned, the photo's he's turning in are incredible. Life ban needed.

P.S. Well done John the shots are very good indeed. Got any tips?
