Michael Fish: his last day at BBC Weather Centre

Didn't quite realise it was that long ago - blimey, watched many a forecasts with Mike, come rain or shine, naturally more juices began flowing when snow or thunder symbols appeared on the original charts, all those years back before computerised type graphics and images. :)

    i remember his last day well ,very sad ,brought a tear to my eye,you can just tell he had enjoyed all those years of forcasting!!!what a top guy.

    Is he retiring from Netweather as well? legend and quality forecaster, got so much stick because of one event that was not even his fault>

     

    Also could someone be kind enough to tell me what year that forecast above was for as well, if there was not days on there then I would have plumbed for around 9th feb 2009 but that does not tie in with my recollection of the event,
