Its been a cracking day in the Lake District - one of the warmest spots in the country which is rare thanks to the position of the ridge which is very favourable for these parts. Clear skies almost throughout and temperatures hitting 21-22 degrees, such days were rare last summer.

The outlook looks equally fine - these are ideal outdoor weather conditions, they don't get any better.

Heh heh...Sorry to be a pedant but it is actually Tuesday 4th June and not May as is in the title.

Generally sunny here in North Ayrshire today but not as good as was forecast with a little more coastal cloud around, but the temperature was a little higher than was forecast on the 7 day forecast here, a good 8C higher.

Maybe someone can clarify for me which forecast I should go for.  I am currently looking at the forecast for Irvine for tomorrow as I am on holiday this week (what a week to pick eh?).  According to the 7 day forecast for my region, there is not a cloud in the sky tomorrow (cloud cover 3%) but the 5 day UK forecast map shows showers for the next few days over my region.  Huh??  I'm confused Posted Image

Yes but given previous summers it's fooling the weather gods.

Similar here to other places, sunny virtually all day, a bit hazier and a few more clouds this evening. Max Temps around 19c.
