Saturday appears to be next potential of note. Absolutely nothing here today unless you count drizzle as convective precipitation..

A couple of flashes and rumbles around half 2 near to Mansfield along with some heavy rain, but nothing overly spectacular and moved through fairly quickly. Still, for a low risk outlook it was better than nothing Posted Image

I'd take that even for a High risk outlook!!!! lol

Glad to see there were a few lively storms around today as expected.

Met Office forecast precip last night did pretty well with today, as did the Net weather NMM high res model, which was quite accurate in showing the instability in the affected areas.

Edit: As I said last night, still surprised estofex missed the area of activity.

Storms over the Midlands were associated with an occluded front which probably gave way for the instability. The heavy to moderate showers over the Irish sea was due to a trough.

That analysed chart is good, where did you get that from?

Heres the link, I found the model a couple a weeks ago, it updates at around 10am and 4pm. However it shows the weather for 9am and 3pm. It also shows archives and sometimes gives small details on clouds such as cumulonimbus tops etc and other features like fronts, jet etc (For example if you put your mouse over the red label 'Jet Axis', it gives you the height and speed of the jet stream)
