Yucky start to the day here, grey and feeling really cold for June at only 11C. The wind is lighter at least.

Morning all,

I'm catching up after a busy weekend but I can confirm it's not been a nice start to the day here in more ways than one - I'm off to spend the rest of the morning with my accountant now so feeling particularly Monday morning ish - thankfully I have something nice to look forward to later Posted Image

Morning all,

Ditto to the above weather obs. Looking messy for Tues/Weds, with a few fronts forecast to cross the region.

Could dry out and warm up at the end of the week, as pressure rises to our south.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Convection wise, GFS latest output has knocked it all on the head for the next 7/8 days

A quick look at the week ahead and it looks like it might be raining in our patch on Wednesday and Thursday before drying out overnight into Friday and then maybe the best day of the working week will be Friday with a return of a bit of sunshine through the middle of the day.

I mean what do you expect, Wimbledon starts in two weeks and it's never going to be sunshine and cloud free skies is it???

We've had our week last week I think. I'll check evil-bay to see if anyone has some Summer with a low starting price and try and win it for the end of the week if that helps?

Afternoon each. Dull, dull and dull here in Norwich. Just drab and murky.

Have a good day, all. :)

Its brightening up outside and looks like a pleasant afternoon ahead once more, before it goes downhill properly by Wednesday which looks quite wet for much of the day. Other than Friday which looks to provide a pleasant day between low pressure centres, most of the week ahead in fact looks unsettled and often windy, espcially Thursday, with plenty of low cloud, hill and coastal mist and drizzle even between the rainbands. The next weekend currently looks dissapointingly poor and wet and ends the sequences of fine weekends we have seen in the last couple of weeks.

It had to happen though Tamara, even on the sunny South coast. I think our time will come again Mid July into August* :good:

Yes, I agree. Despite some recent cloud, I think that the weather of the last week or so has been glorious and am surprised it hasn't been welcomed more than it hasPosted Image It will soon be a thing of the past anyway. Btw, don't be so modest, I am sure there is method in your madnessPosted Image Posted Image

Absolute dross here in East and South West London. I keep reading the weather is "set to break" this week, well it's already finished here in London. Dire.

Rain, wind, storms, convection - all are fine by me.

But when people talk about the UK's uniquely depressing weather, it's exactly these interminable, almost claustrophobic, solid grey skies they mean. The kind of day you don't get anywhere else...

Afternoon all. :)

Same old dross, as we've had for most of the last three days. Undoubtedly Norfolk etc. would have had worse though. At least it'll be history by late tomorrow, even if not replaced by anything to get excited about.

So far.......?  Blimey, give it a chance; it's only 9 1/2 days old!

But you're unlucky evidently.  It's been poor in my location over the weekend but save for those two days (which have been very disappointing and frustrating) it's been an excellent start to the season.

So you have my sympathy even if you are somewhat over-egging the pudding!

Well I thought when I got up it might be a good day, its not started out well, cloudy and overcast, just like my mood today. Work a bloody pain, knees are a pain (get results tonight, so might be really down or up), kids are a pain trying to plan our 35th wedding anniversary, which is a bbq on Sunday 23rd in the heart of Kent and no doubt the weather will be a pain as well. Someone please cheer me up, depressed and despondent of Dartford. Can you please arrange for someone to shoot my accountant as well, she's driving me round the bend as well. HELP!!! Need some hot weather so all the fridge plants break down and I can escape out the office.

Sorry about the moan, I feel a lot better now.

Bigger than 3 miles then Posted Image

Although it was cloudy today, it doesn't feel as cold thanks to that awful wind being much weaker!
