Quite a nasty looking day today with a SE Moving Cold Front across the Central Plains. Tornado risk is questionable due to the quickness of it all lining out and becoming a wind damage threat, but there could be a few surprises in there today as Hodo's might become favourable later today when the LLJ Kicks into gear, Mid 50's dewpoints hold the instability down quite a degree and large temp/dewp spreads might make this a pretty gust front type of day.

We shall see what we can find, but as most know I am not a fan of CF Type days.

Heading towards Greensburg, Kansas. Live stream is on and hopefully todays chase areas will allow stream to stay on. Yesterday the internet connections were sparse. I tried but not much you can do about it when you are in the middle of nowhere.

I quite like the area around Ulysses, KS for a DL/shear combination. There may be a few areas that could yield a decent risk later as the LLJ kicks in as Paul says but for the best chance of a few hours of more discrete possibilities west is best. The cold front on latest synoptic charts sort of bends back north in NW KS and this may keep better quality moisture in my target area for longer.

Good hunting guys

We are sitting east of the dry line - yes the low was there and we were looking at the triple point in the Oklahoma Panhandle area - We are currently near Ashland Kansas.

Paul not too happy with what he is looking at and feels that those cells near  Dodge are looking to have more potential so heading that way for now at least

coolios Tom. Looking at the current situ with my basic understanding, I'd be leaning towards south of that area, hoping the low holds up the advancing cf and those cells near liberal don't line out so much, but im no expert at all. Interesting kink on the cold front with that Dodge storm -  have fun out there!

looks like its cranking up just south of the panhandle - cant really tell where you are from the GPS, but I'd imagine a core punch going on to get to the business end of that beaver cell - living the dream gents!
