I hope your all having a nice weekend.

Once again another tricky day with the SPC throwing out several possible scenarios for today's slight risk, we are going for the south central Nebraska play. The HRRR model is showing initiation 2-3pm CDT with several supercells possible. Tornado risk is low but a straight line wind event later in the day could be possible. It looks like any cells will develop into HP monsters.

We are seeing our first cell with an overshooting top about 100 clicks to our NE...so things are already kicking!

On a side note to try and cover the dropping in and out and for testing of all the tech in the car to help us improve streaming will will also be live on chasertv look out for UKTWISTERHUNTERS.

Stream and chasertv will be up in the next 20minutes...next update will be when we reach Ogalala off the i80

Ah wow did not think I would be updating yo guys so soon but......

MD issues for our target area already.........

So here are two options for today:

- Storms firing along outflow boundary along SWRN SD into NWRN NEB

OR

- Storms forming witthin a plume of ascent out of CO encountering moisture over western Nebraska

Seeing a CU field developing below a VORTMAX at the moment and lots of variation in wind direction with height...all signs are looking good.

Now for the streams........

Hey DJV. South central NEB looks like the sweet spot to me. I take it also that the good srh in the models means that a tn isn't ruled out. Will try and watch through the evening - appreciate the updates as always!

Cheers, Sam :)

rap is showing the area those storms are moving into to ratchet up the low level helicity in the next couple of hours - shows a max of about 300 srh by 23z - I'd imagine tn's quite a possibility as they move into higher dp's and lower lcl's -

I'll stop typing and filling up this thread in a bit I promiss! That must be a sight seeing that storm going up right now..

Back up and running these fields are terrible for signal!

Nice wall cloud and rapid rising scud, looks like it might be going HP

Hello Tour 4. Concur with Sam in that the cell you are on is moving into a much more favourable environment over the next hour or so and could well start to do interesting things.

If it can get North and East of North Platte the EHI really cranks up.

Yep stream now up on tnvideos and chaser tv - I think your count is about to rise significantly LOL

leaving this storm heading north looks like storms up are there are about to hit an outflow boundary we reckon they have better tornado potential!

Yep a shame we can't see the cell you are on. I know the temptation is to shuffle up to the tor warned cell further North but stay close to where you are and cells that develop and add on to the northern point of the current OFB line will be increasingly likely to rotate.Already a decent mid-level rotation on the Grant cell.
