Another gorgeous afternoon in West Sussex, sun's nicely warm when out of the breeze

Always happens when I'm in the other half of our fair county!

Fingers crossed for you Ruthie but I suspect it's just the torrential 30 minute downpour that swept through here earlier.

Look like one (a shower) is about to whiz anticlockwise round the southern section of the M25

As a veteran of the M25, and especially on a Friday, I'm not sure 'whizz' is the right word! Was drizzling in Reigate 5 minutes ago but stopped now. About an hour ago the sun was out and it got really quite warm. Back to grey now, in time for junior cricket practice.....AS

Some sunshine this afternoon has raised the temp here to 21C, feels very warm in the sun. Some convective cloud about, seen some lively showers pop up on radar around London, anyone under one? :)

See my earlier post above......I was right under what I would call a proper summer downpour. It only lasted 30 minutes but it was nice while it lasted.

Very nice, could do with one of those showers here, ground is pretty dry! Still time for those showers to turn thundery?

Some threatening looking skies here again, there seems to be a lot of moisture in the atmosphere, but not too much instability.

Hey all. Just had an almighty thundery shower (without the thunder though 😢) here. All the roads where flooding. Typical really as it was at the same time my wife sent me to the shops..... Without an umbrella too. Drenched now comes to mind..... Have a good weekend all

Hmm. Very dark sky earlier but now cleared and sun is out. Did look stormy though. :)

We should be so lucky 'stormy' 😉. It has really brightened up here now as well. The sun is making its normal evening appearance....

Evening all. :)

I'm off on hols tomorrow, to a place where I reckon I'll have a 95% chance of hearing thunder, over the couple of weeks I'll be there. :)

Will try and keep in touch.
