Still cloudy but it's thinning, the sun is now visible

The cloud seems to keep developing in a 20 mile wide line down the coast

Just back from a very warm walk at one of the nearby beaches. It was lovely with both the sea and sky an amazing shade of blue:

I would love to see an overnight storm much like the storm we were all gawking at on the Hamburg earthcam a few weeks ago but I feel for us in the south/east it will be a late afternoon to an evening affair! Not that I am complaining though because beggars can't be choosers. ahaHave a great day everyone, and fingers crossed.

Very warm here in Croydon and taking plenty of bets on the golf, so that's hot too.

Boiling up to be a very close finish, would be nice to see Lee Westwood win but that wouldnt be a good result for the firm.

A better result for the firm would be Henrik Stenson, not least because I've picked him in our fantasy competition, there you go,that's jinxed him.

If I win, I plan to invest the winnings on a Storm Bunker, which I'll have installed by tomorrow, hopefully in time for any storms that arrive.

Regards,

Tom.

Once the cloud cleared away from here the temperature has rocketed. it was 20c at 1.30pm, it's now 27c and still rising.

Turned into an absolutely beautiful day, although humidity seems to be rising. Blue sky's and a slight haze.

Aussie still being embarrassed now 8 down and still haven't got to 200.

Must be back in the good books as just been made by her indoors, one of those new fangled gin and tonics with cucumber, must admit to liking it, certainly refreshing. Should go well with the roast lamb and new potatoes. My creeping and crawling all weekend obviously has paid dividends.

Congratulations to Phil Mickelson on his Open Golf win, one of the nicest guys in golf and a great family man.

Got to admit, I'm a bit misty-eyed. A pity for Lee Westwood, who has still yet to win one of the Majors.

Tom.

I can safely admit I hate golf, and tennis, and snooker. Rich kids getting paid for hitting balls around, not even a team event in the main. Besides, what on earth does this have to do with the weather?

Oh I do hope we get something. It will be just my luck that I will be on the tube when the storm hits. (usually around 4pm until about 5pm)....
