So am I gathering that the storms will be a mostly southern event?  Typical!!!

They would push north on the plume.

I'm in Stanwell and some very deep rumble sounds can't see any lightning on detectors anyone hear this?? I must check outside if continues but are look out window first.

The netweather storm risk maps seem to indicate most of the action will be to the west for the first half of next week.

Last week they had a 85% of storms here up to and including the day they were meant to happen. Wasn't a drop of rain within 100 miles!

Your neck of the woods has done exceptionally well over the past 2-3 years - don't forget that amazing supercell storm last year! That'd do me for the next 50 years! Posted Image

Pity our neck of the woods always misses out

Belgium, Holland ??

I'll get me coat on the way out Posted Image

Not this weekend thanks, I'm judging outdoors in Holland!! Posted Image However, the odd light overnight shower up here would definitely be most welcome. Whatever happened to three hot days and a thunderstorm? Is it now 3 weeks? I cannot belieeeeeeeeeeeeeeve I haven't heard thunder since August 5th last year. That is some record for my area!

I cannot emphasise how stunning it was to see CBs yesterday - the occasions have been so few and far between this year which is why it is so ironic that the best CB structure I've seen is under prevailing anticyclonic conditions!! I may be wrong but in the UK it is rare to get storms firing under an extensive area of High pressure, so its something I'm sure I wont forget for a while. Just a pity I was in a hurry to get home so didnt have time to take any photographs Posted Image

Promising signs at this stage for next week so lets keep fingers crossed for a mass outbreak!! (and I am off work all week too, hahahahahahahahahaha Posted Image :yahoo:Posted Image)

You will NOT be pleased to hear I will be on the Norfolk Broads for most of next week and next weekend, should put the shield firmly in place over Angulaaar, but SE Essex should get a few corkers!

Ahhh, but I'll negate your shield by being in Cork, so that should preclude any storms there while producing some here

Some towering cumulus here already developing fairly quickly. 1 towering to the N and another to the W.

High cirrus and some towering clouds to the north here

Looks good for Cork middle of next week Posted Image - I moved to Abbeyfeale in Limerick last October, from near Heathrow... we've had two flashes and a boom here since then... looking at Estofex maybe a chance today???

Been spying back here on the old forum, assuming that since I moved, London would be treated to 3 hot days then a bang lol!

There was no thunder here until after 5pm last night so there is still plenty of time for those in wales to go up.
