'Our' chances are slim and maybe only an isolated thunderstorm I think. Countrywide I think there could be a one or two good spots that will see something more substantial, Midlands upwards looks favourite. But I'm thinking tomorrow morning on might be better for the remainder of the Country - I'd like a peak at this afternoons 12z Skew T's to get a better idea of what's brewing up there.

Thanks for the link Coast!

Update from High Wycombe East: The milky sky has turn that odd light grey-ish silver with the odd blue patch - sun still shining though. Occasional very little dark cloud drifts by. 31.c

Wildlife update (because wildlife reaction to weather always interests me!)  Squirrels have come down from the tree and are scurrying around on the ground which is unusual in this heat.

met office had me down for sunny spells and thundery downpours tomorrow after early morning storms now they have thundery downpours moving up from the south during the morning which seems a little later than originally forecast with limited sunny spells

last time it was forecast like this a few years ago it was dull with not a lot of rain

surely it can't go that wrong , I won't complain if it does but you wouldn't think so

another site has me down for only isolated thunderstorms

Thanks Robin. It is a pity that there is not something out there that is a little bit more zoomed in!

There probably is, but you'd need to be with the CIA to use it!

France awash with thunderstorms and the UK has none. A strange sense of Deja Vu has come over me.

only things that come north from France with alarming regularity are illegal immigrants

We are now approaching prime hour for storms, not alot of initiation tbh.

there are pockets of unstable air mass but nowt on the radar returns, i think our hope is the cold front moving SW/NE or Imports, but you know what happens with imports

Small line of showers rapidly developing along the Dorset coast SSW of Weymouth, possible indication that it's about to start kicking off.
