Apart from the occasional spot of drizzle it's been a dry night but with thick fog developing shortly after midnight and still present now. Unlike the last two days however the heat of the sun can be felt through the fog so it seems more likely it will burn away.

Dry and hot with hazy sunshine all day.  Maximum 31.6 (the highest here since July 2006), minimum 17.8.  Wind light E.  The temperature peaked just after 2.00pm with 32+ looking likely but a breeze set in that prevented it from rising further.

A cool and overcast morning with outbreaks of drizzle/light rain only slowly giving way to brighter conditions after lunchtime.

Hazy sunshine late in the afternoon helped raise temps to 23.7c but unfortunately another disappointing day despite the promising forecast.

Thick fog until mid-morning then hazy sunny intervals. The cloud cleared a bit more meaningfully during the early afternoon with sunny intervals developing; it became hot and humid by late afternoon with the moderate NE wind decreasing to almost calm. Dry until 5 minutes ago when it began to rain heavily, I can now hear thunder rumbling to the south/south west.
