Thundery shower rather than a Thunderstorm and a weak one at that. Now moderate rain no lightning.

Interesting the temp has managed to sneak up 17.3C so the air is warm.

Just had our first shower, with a rumble of thunder - the first rain here since 3 July.  Only lasted a couple of minutes but no doubt more to come.  Yesterday's maximum (31.6) and last night's minimum (19.0) were the highest recorded here since 2006.

Fair amount of thunderstorms this morning, some very loud rumbles with some IC lightning, never saw any CG lightning, I still feel that I missed the worst of the storms. This morning was very humid and fairly warm. Last night was disappointing with thunderstorms in my area, only a couple of flashes and distant thunder, a huge amount of the strikes were hitting London or Leicester. Looks like Derby is getting some lightning flashes at the moment. Some forecasts are predicting more thundery showers tonight though.

No measurable rain here - just continuing hot and humid after the warmest day and night since 2006, with temperatures significantly higher than generally forecast (we may be close to the UK hotspot for today, I think).  Just a 2-minute light shower around 10am, and a few rumbles of thunder.  Otherwise dry and often cloudy, with sunny spells around the middle of the day.  Current conditions: broken cloud, 26.1 deg C, wind light S.  Today's maximum 29.1, last night's minimum 19.0.

Torrential rain and a thunderstorm between 0700 - 0800 with a fair amount of lightning which then drifted away to the North to leave moderate rain showers which lasted until approx lunchtime. The afternoon was then dry and increasingly sunny helping temps to rise to 22.7c.

Feeling muggy in a light/moderate south easterly.

There currently looks to be some very heavy rain/storms to the east of York heading North.
