As has been mentioned above, diobolical BBC/met office forecasts on temperature, they have underestimated them four days running now with today the most extreme cock up.22c was given last night as a maximum and we are heading for 29c in London

Pouring hard in Brighton with distant rumbles of thunder coming from the Channel.  I can tell it's far away - I bet it's so loud in it's actual location.  A deep, frequent rumble!!

Forecasting by the beeb has been poor - Peter Gibbs was rabbiting on how this week temperatures have been on the decline - really!?! not in my part of the world they haven't mate, maxes this week here have been between 27.3c (our hottest day this year) and 25.1c whilst previous weeks have seen maxes averaging around 21-24c due to the on shore breeze that we have largely been experiencing.

As for today well let's just say it's not one of the beeb's/METO's greatest forecasts, temps way way out. 25.2c here currently.

The rain and noise has stopped now, in fact it is strangely eerie.  Is this what they call the calm before the storm?!  Really weird atmosphere out there.

As expected, the area of rain has pepped up, and is now back to being electrified after landfall,

Whilst this is great, it's the line behind that, and another line behind that that will bring the goodies to SE England.

Old-fashioned way of doing it, I know, but the Medium Wave is starting to provide some crackles.

Sky darkening to my south and south-west now.
