Well I think i'm in the middle of the rain train, LOL great name. Another shower starting now with some sferics getting quite close. Today is also the day that in 2008 a heatwave broke down with a really active thundery event.

That stuff developing over the Channel Islands could be of interest to anyone along the Dorset coast soon.

Heavy rain here a moment ago but now the sun is out again, strange.

Had an almost pulse storm like feel to it but no electrical activity.

Very dark skies to my SW, looks like the approaching cell has no thunder or lightning though just heavy rain.

Tony Gilbert ( UKww ) has highlighted this and was toying with the idea of a 'chase', but more in the Hampshire area I believe.

Yes, it's steered off NE towards the Isle of Wight area now, losing much of it's electrical activity as it does so too.

I wouldn't bank on it! Wouldn't mind it's gone so dark here as well, surely something's got to give!

Expected to regain activity once it reaches the South Coast and slightly inland, in line with TG's prediction so far.

I think the north west thunder fizzler is geared up ready to zap any electrical activity here, the thunder has been trying, hence reports of sporadic isolated rumbles(not here) , but the shield is killing any widespread or organised electrics

the thunder has no chance here

Another fail here, no thunder will happen , thing is, there is nothing we can do about it, things have changed, so its time to throw in the towel , I for one wont moan any morePosted Image  ,no point anymore
