yes a fair amount of breeze and cloud this morning with some sunshine as well, no ,measured rain here overnight with a low of 15.5C now on 17.8C

Heavy and torrential rain continued until well after midnight here though only a few rumbles of local thunder. The rain eventually became lighter and stopped around 02:30 GMT. The amount of rain measured here totalled 52.9mm from the storm, the wettest July day on local record, previous wettest was July 2001 (51.3mm) and the wettest for any month since August 2004 (56.1mm) The day dawned wet underfoot and overcast. Bright and sunny spells to observation, cloud bubbling up quickly. Sunny spells continued through the day with the short sharp shower, not amounting to much. Breezy and less warm.

A bright and breezy morning until around lunchtime when cloud increased from the SW.

There then followed a thunderstorm together with a downpour of the likes I have not seen for many years.

Roofs were like waterfalls and roads turned into small rivers and it lasted for a good 10 to 15 min so it would be interesting to see what the rainfall totals were.

Currently partly cloudy with sunny spells and 19.8c in a light south westerly.

A day of sunny intervals and heavy showers always near but not actually here. Thunder was heard to the north at 1345 g.m.t and there was thunder and lightning at 1500-1515 g.m.t on the edge of a heavy shower which again passed to the north of here and gave us just a short spell of moderate rain.

Almost all the cloud dispersed by early evening.

Clear intervals and showers night, mild.

Occasional showers continued by day, briefly very heavy at times, with a sole rumble of thunder at 1150 from a cell to the west. Rather cloudy to 0900, then sunny intervals in which it felt warm  although substantial drops in showers of up to 4c. Moderate to fresh SW breeze.
