Looks like the storms are over for now. Nice while they lasted. Can I count todays near miss? Posted Image

Cumulus clouds developing, clear signal that the Atlantic airflow has now been established. Still some mid level stuff to clear but some sunny spells now.

Temperatures well on the way up again as well,  25-26C in several locations and even a 27C in North Yorks!!

    Still some warmth around

    Hi all,

Still feels awfully humid here! Sky clearing and the sun is out. That hot spell has provided me with my first runner beans and they are yummy Posted Image

Relative Humidity here at 90% and yes it feels oppressive

There seems to be a slight intensity in that clump passing Guernsey? Is it heading for central London?

After a cloudy morning, the cloud cleared away at lunchtime and it's been a lovely afternoon. Feeling quite hot still at 25C with a nice S-SW breeze. Hoping to see some thunder activity later but know am being unrealistic lol.

So is that small showery clump just west of Caen, (If it gets across the channel without fizzling out) going to miss the S/E too?

    Look at the raintoday radar

Just looking at it, the major rainfall is on the eastern flank of each of the two major cells, looks like a feeding frenzy to me. As they make landfall I suspect they may swerve a little to the East (not science but intuition) but whatever their track, with the clear blue skies before them it should make for some interesting photos.

Could very well hit SE if it survives, on a ne direction wind wise and the front slowly moving east. Could be talking out my hat here tho Posted Image

Good evening one and all, and a very pleasant one it is too with blue skies and a light breeze here, it reached 26c earlier. I was quite suprised to read all the thunderstorm reports ( zilch here ) but congratulations to all those who enjoy them and got them. Posted Image to Tom who we know doesn't like them but bravely reported anyway, fair play mate. There were also some very unusual cloud structures about today, and thanks to everyone who posted the excellent photo's.

Welcome back as well to K in East Anglia, hope all is well with you now, I curse that BD.

    Have a great weekend folks.

Great pics cloudsabove, I missed out on a spectacular pic this morning in Brentwood, a huge CG blasted out of the clouds and hit a Ryanair 737 and continued on to the ground, it always happens when you don't have your camera with you! The plane appeared to be ok.
