    This cloud today appears stubborn and reluctant to clear, leading to a much duller and cooler day than of late. 19.4oC in the shed at present, but dry none the less.

    Brightened on mid afternoon arrival at Rhiwlas, Gwynedd, after a cloudy but mainly dry drive up. Sunny spells to early evening.

    Clear and very cool last night, cloudy by dawn. Cloudy but mainly dry to mid afternoon, then sunny intervals. Moderate west to Nw breeze

    Apart from a couple of pitifully brief and light showers early this afternoon it's been another dry day.

    Mainly cloudy this morning but sunny periods this afternoon once the light showers had moved through, around 1400 g.m.t.

    Another mainly cloudy day with sunny spells getting better as day went on .An odd shower  in morning and best spell of sunshine late afternoon,max 19deg,didnt feel it as the wind spoilt the nice end to the day.

    • Exceptional warmth for western Europe as October begins

      There'll be exceptionally warm temperatures for the time of year affecting much of western Europe during the coming days, but that warmth will only graze the UK for now.
