I've just been emailed, informing me that my prescription will be available for collection on 19th September.

Not bad, considering that I've not been to the Doctor for years...

Actually the true recipient has a very similar email address to myself, but it's pretty poor to make that sort of mistake. I know the chap's full name, date of birth, telephone number and the fact he is on strong anti-depressives.

I replied to the surgery saying they might want to amend their records.Posted Image

I'd better make it weather related... Maybe if this weather carries on, I might need the prescription, even if I have to travel to Yorkshire to collect it.Posted Image

Is everyone a softie in the SE & EA. Just spent a day in London and wasn't exactly cold lol - come further west and these temperatures are commonplace.

Evening all,

Was totally miserable here (the weather not me) so we made the right decision and went to Cineworld to see RUSH - the best film I've seen for ages and it was made even better by sitting in the D-Box seats Posted Image

Pub grub after and then home to put the heating on... and if that makes me a softie then so be it  Posted Image

i think most on this thread are comparing these suppressed temps, against what we had a few weeks ago, and against the average for this time of year. Don't worry though, come the weekend and you will hear no complaints about cool temps in this region.

It's looking promising isn't it, perhaps a last gasp at some warmth before autumn proper.

Having recorded in temperatures and rainfall in both Egham, Surrey and Yatton, North Somerset I can safely say that Egham has had a considerably drier and slightly warmer climate than Yatton since I started there in September 2010, quite disappointing really as I thought the southeast was colder, also wasn't brilliant on the snow front either (pardon the pun).

Morning everyone.

Feeling awful this morning, stupid cold. Oh well must fight on, I'm not the manflu type Posted Image

The sun is shining and it's a Wednesday which means eating spicy food down the pub tonight.

I love how the SE/EA thread is now a pinned thread Posted Image
