I thought I'd come up with a mnemonic for today's weather and have decided that today is a FAD. I won't elaborate,

Really, I thought it was Fairly Atrocious Disturbance?

Drizzle.......... Wind........

GRRRRRRR

Have you tried Gaviscon?

Close with the second word. The one I had in mind was awful. Posted Image

Almost clear blue sky now! Temperatures have dipped by 2C though. It's the time of year where it actually gets colder under clear skies.

Good evening all. Great photo's again Robin and last nights harvest moon was a cracking sight here as well, very bright.

Something of a familiar pattern has been repeated here again today, overcast with spells of rain throughout the day then clearing around 5pm to allow some late evening sunshine.

Hope Jan is ok.

The relative humidity's so high that now it's warmed up a bit I've got condensation on the outside of the windows!

ecm at 144

Posted Image

note only 2 lows so different to ukmo

watch the low to our south west

at 168

Posted Image

low moves closer as high pressure starts to weaken

now watch what it does

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

see the low go under us then head slowly north east

that is where i see our pattern change coming from

see 850 temps at 144

Posted Image

now at 240

Posted Image

its certainly worth watching where the low goes to our south west but also

this is in fi so nothing is set in stone yet

just posted as interesting model watching coming up

Evening all. This morning was okay, quite bright, and felt comfortable temp wise just to wear a shirt to work (I also had trousers etc on)😄 but come lunchtime it defiantly took a turn for the worse... As Steve C appropriately put it, it was a FAA (changed day to afternoon Steve. Hope you don't mind 😉) but now we have clear skies, a temp of 15c and a big bright moon lightening the night sky.

hi aLL

fax charts time again

Posted Image

monday

a south easterly flow

dry with sunny intervals

fog could be a coastal problem as could be cloud as well

temps  around 20-24 degrees higher where no cloudcover

Posted Image

tuesday

a mainly easterly flow

temps around 20 degrees and poss lower on eastern coastal regions due to cloud and fog

looks dry

expect changes to this over the next couple of days

ukmo

Posted Image

still has high pressure in control

with an easterly flow

i think stick to 84 per night on the fax charts and you will not be disappointed with the models

Evening all

After a busy day at work that was a cool start but a warm end, I took a stroll to the next village, vistited family, tried to catch some of the last blackberry harvest but the last few days of cooler weather paid finish to that.

Still not a bad night out there so far.

Get out and enjoy yourselves tomorrow if possible. Going to be a nice day, plenty of sunshine and temps into high teens!

Morning all. :)

Pitch dark and disappointingly cloudy here a.t.m. - can't see stars.

Not too long ago, the Sun would have risen by now.

Morning Ox, morning all!

Well if the start of the day is a precursor to the rest of it, then expect a big beautiful shiny one with a bit more warmth than recently. The sun has just shown it's sleepy head here in Sussex and it wants to play today!

Looks like 17°C or 18°C possible today, will be interesting to see if it creeps beyond that in some areas of our region:
