Incredible chart for today, if this were in 8 weeks time there would be some fun with some cold air in the mix!

 

May be this will be a trend setter for the winter, if so our friend with his outrageous winter forecast might not be far from barking up the right tree!!

A cloudy and windy night, dry at first but with showery rain moving in from the E/NE during the early morning. It was particularly windy just before the rain arrived with a gust of 49 mph at 0425 g.m.t.

Light showers cleared for time last night followed by a few clear spells, clouding over after midnight. The early hours saw showery rain, moderate, heavy for a short time. A few bright spells developed for a short while this morning before more cloud and light rain arrived from the north-east around 08:00 GMT. At observation, overcast, light rain and drizzle.

Some forecasts a couple of days ago were predicting a pretty grim day here, but it looks like that's been reserved tor tomorrow.  A pleasant autumn day with sunny spells and light winds after a wet and blustery spell overnight.  Maximum 14.7, minimum 10.1.  Wind light E.
