One or two light showers overnight but also some clear intervals. Hill fog developed by 0530 g.m.t and currently, although it's dry overhead, there's thick fog causing everything to drip with moisture.

Turning rather cloudy overnight, dry. The day dawned cloudy and misty, the mist thickening in to fog through the morning to observation.

Clouds began to bubble up by late morning with showers breaking out in the vicinity. The afternoon saw several showers, briefly heavy over this station, further sunny spells too, milder than recent days.

Despite the mild start Temperatures never really got going peaking at the norm for daytime October. A dull day with odd spot of rain later

Apart from a short spell of moderate drizzle between 0830 and 0900 g.m.t it's been a dry and foggy day with an increasing SE wind. The fog lifted to around 300 m this afternoon but never cleared above that level.
