    A mild cloudy night with blustery winds and the odd light shower, an overnight low of 10.5c.

     

    Currently; Mild and cloudy with the odd clear patch.

    11.3c with a bit of a breeze and light showers on and off.

    Showers cleared away last night to leave clear spells. Further showery rain arrived through the early hours, again followed by clear spells. The day dawned partly cloudy, damp underfoot. Further moderate showers here this morning, a few brighter spells. At observation, shower clearing north, bright spells developing once more.

The afternoon saw bright conditions with sunny spells spread from the SW, with showers developing by early evening, this station saw a heavy one around 16:45 GMT

    Most of the night was dry but there was a short heavy shower around 0400 g.m.t. Foggy for a time during the late evening and into the early hours but also some clear intervals during the evening.

    Heaviest rain I've seen for quite a while here just now, was also woken in the early hours by a sustained downpour. Having seen it get pushed to our west time and time again it's good to see.

    A mostly dry and cloudy morning, just one brief light shower around 0940. The first part of the afternoon was also dry and mainly cloudy but during mid-afternoon there was a brief spell of fairly heavy rain as a thunderstorm passed a few miles to the north west of here. The storm was followed by more dry and cloudy weather.

    Being the clever* budding meteorologist I am, *sadly not :( I can not understand why there were so many intense storms throughout today.

    Was it simply the fact that cells were forming along the through due to convergence, eventually passing the UK? Any help would be greatly appreciated =)

    A wet start with heavy downpours, drier late morning before torrential rain mid afternoon, cleared away now to leave clear skies, temperature now 11.2c. High of 16.3c today, Wind 18mph S, Rainfall since 12am- 18.2mm
