The night was dry until the early hours when rain, accompanied by thick hill fog, spread from the south west and became heavy at times after 0500 g.m.t. The heaviest rain has now cleared to the north leaving us with thick fog and drizzle.

Turning cloudy early last evening, though staying dry until after midnight. Light rain commenced through the early hours turning moderate at times. Mild. The rain died out this morning with a few brighter spells occurring around observation.

my cousin has just text me to say he was caught in a tornado near ripponden and there are several trees down in cragg vale,I heard the thunder it was very impressive as you do not expect it this time of year!

Thick hill fog and drizzle cleared by 1000 g.m.t to leave a dry, breezy and very mild day ( bar the odd spot of light rain ) with sunny intervals. Light showers reached the area by 1700 g.m.t and the S wind increased to a strong breeze.

Heavy rain from 0300 last night with a moderate SE breeze.

Mild, overcast and windy overnight with rain arriving between 7-10am. The afternoon then turned partly cloudy with clear spells and became exceptionally warm, reaching an impressive 18.1C, a whole 5.4C above average for the time of year.
