Aye, mine is petrol so it copes pretty well even when its wet hopefully this wind and sunshine (if you lawn gets any sun this time of year?) should enable it to dry out enough to cut it with no rain due till late tomorrow

Can't comment on the frost as there wasn't any on the windscreen here just after 8am though we do get the sun most of the day here so it soon melts

As for the temp here http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICODURHA2

Newton Aycliffe is reporting a low of 4.4°C - http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICOUNTYD1

Hi Lee I think this is the one you were looking at http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICOUNTYD18 this one was hopeless earlier in the year it reported temps of around 20c in the middle of winter

Now according to that station we've had 443.7mm of rain this month so its still not the best one around - http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICOUNTYD18&day=30&year=2013&month=10&graphspan=month

It's one of those WH1080 watson copies, the shielding is not very good so shows too warm on hot days but cools too much overnight giving a reading more like a grass temp or your car roof radiating heat away - not accurate air temperature.. (still good for about £50 though)

There were localised inversions, I was surprised we were on -1.4 at 6am, as soon as the wind picked up it warmed 5C though. These squally showers are quite something this afternoon - accompanied by gusty winds and leaves falling like confetti after the frost.

Was going to go to a fireworks display at Seaton Carew tonight but due to the torrential rain this afternoon decided to pospone that ......Mother Nature is certainly putting on a great light display at the moment !!

Eston Hills are being lit up by lightning......love it !!

We are now in a sunny period in Darlington finally with the next 4 out of 5 days looking very sunny all day only Tuesday looks mixed with sunshine and showers for the afternoon after a cloudy start

Frosts however look limited we should get one overnight tonight, but other than that cloud cover and or wind speeds overnight should prevent any frosts

I reckon there will be another frost tomorrow night but early on before the wind and warmer air moves in early Tuesday morning. Certainly looking like a mostly sunny autumnal week, with temps staying in single figures even during the day. :)
