    Guy Fawkes night 5th to 6th November 1996 was a really stormy one for Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland. Michael Fish indicates in his broadcast, that some stations recorded their highest gusts for years

    Remeber it well, built a big bonfire nearly 15 ft high, when lit the embers where going everywhere including on house roofs at one stage we thought best to call the fire brigade to wet down the buildings, fire lasted an hour at most because it was getting that much draught oh, fun times!!!..
