Strong south-westerly winds continued through to the early hours, gradually falling off moderate to fresh by dawn, staying mostly clear. Sunny so far this morning, feeling chilly in the brisk westerly wind. Further sunny spells through the morning, though cloud built enough to produce showers in the area by early afternoon, some of these were heavy locally, this station only caught a brief light shower. There was a short spells of light rain around mid to late evening, clearing after midnight.

Heavy rain cleared in the early hours.  Cool start, dry and sunny all day.  Already down to below 5 deg C this evening so we could be in for a light frost before the next band of rain arrives.  Maximum 10.3, minimum 4.8.  Wind light W.
