Ask Coast nicely and he may bring along his Sloe stash.

I'm actually filtering, blending and bottling it this weekend, but there is 4 litres left from last year still to slosh down sip

Keg of Harvey's and a crate of Stella oh and a gallon of Bushmills honey as that's my tipple at the moment. Ask Coast nicely and he may bring along his Sloe stash.

Touch!! Harveys... love it.

Mornin each. Yeah God's its dull over this way. Any chance of any snow to brighten things up a bit. I usually like snow in January to cheer things up...but NOW..ish would be good.

Plus, I think our daffodil bulbs are having a nervous breakdown. They are peeping up through the ground already probably because of mild weather earlier. Maybe the poor things will get a bit of a shock later. :)

Have a good day, folks and take care. :D

Morning all,

It's been a while (for me!) since being on NW, so I do hope all is well.

Wishing this cloud would go though - it is amazing how much a little blue skies and sunshine can lighten the mood!

Take care all

Morning all and so the desperate search for the sun and a frost or anything rather than the groundhog weather we have had for about 4 weeks now, never seems to be ending.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Looks like the snow is coming in then, most of our region not looking likely right now but the models can (and will!) change!

Things tend to go a bit mad as snow starts falling and settling, temps drop and that can help the spread.

06Z has something just touching me!

To my very untrained eye...... that looks like a cheshire gap streamer if i am not mistaken and i doubt very much if we are ever successful here from that scenario

I am in danger of having a Basil Fawlty moment and going outside, picking up a branch and thrashing the unremittingly grey sky until it gets a bl**dy move on!

+ Wet slush/cold rain at best on any extreme edges of our region that are 'favoured'. I'd keep your powder dry on this one and wait until a bit further into Winter just yet.

Steady on Abs, just stifle that grey a bit for now

Can I get an "Oooooooo", anywhere?

UK Outlook for Wednesday 18 Dec 2013 to Wednesday 1 Jan 2014:

Generally unsettled, particularly towards the north and northwest of the UK, with the best of any drier and brighter conditions further south and southeast. Temperatures look to be around normal, although there is the potential for colder than average temperatures across the south and east during the start of the period.

I'll take cold and sunny in lieu of something white and deeper!

And that Mr AS, sums up my feelings in a nutshell. I absolutely loathe this ' weather '. I detest it with a vengeance. I don't wish severe weather on anyone but this seemingly endless blanket of grey gloomy nothingness is proving to be all too much for me.

Trying to cheer myself up now.

Never mind, folks. After the 21st we start to go t'other way and nights become gradually shorter. Yippee!!!!!! :D And that's when I usually prefer the snow like we had in January this year.
