Well thats a prediction which one you going with MK? Posted Image 8 inches at the end of the week or 30 years of lamp post watching.....  Hey I expect a lot of us may struggle with the later, age being one problem and the local council doing away with lamp posts due to cuts being the otherPosted Image

Evening all. A grey and dull day here today. It seems after Ian's METO update, the mood has flattened just like today's 12z in the MAD thread.I'm really excited though, only 13 more sleeps, then I'm off to take the family to Lapland for a week. I think me and Mrs LeighD are more excited than the children.Anyway all eyes down for tonight's 18z and JP's ramp charts

Here are their traffic cams.... ooh I'm so jealous!

What are the forecasts for seeing the Northern Lights?

This is my dream: Northern Lights, snow everywhere and listening to wild wolves howling all around our cosy log cabin.

I think my Daily Mirror pull out puzzle section will last longer than the cold snap - not that I was expecting 8 inches anyway but I'm not sure i will be up to either in 30 years even if I'm still alive by then !

Bit difficult, I think some of them read this site, judging by some recent quotes in the papers.

Thanks so much for that link. Just looked at where we are going, and there is a good covering already . I really hope we see the northern lights... I going to have my proper camera all ready for this trip. If we are lucky enough to see them, I will take plenty of pics and post them on here for all to enjoy.

Morning all. Posted Image

Pretty non descript here at the moment. Looking forward to sunshine after lunch.

Just looking at the ECM charts at days 9 and 10. Quite interesting to see a cold plunge in NE Europe and signs that the local high pressure might be headed northeast? I wonder if this is what Ian Ferguson is referring to on the MDT, with regards to the possible easterly in (from) mid month?

Morning, depressed from dirty Dartford reporting in, haven't got any time today as got up late due to road works on m25 last night after the game we lost. Off to 'Arlow office today for yet more meetings, be nice to actually do some work one day, apart from the football yesterday was a success, the proposed new project will be a challenge to put it mildly, got no idea how to design the required air movement, but at least its mainly chill at 2c with a little -25c work which I enjoy the most, its will mean I can guarantee snow next Christmas in that little piece of Hampshire (that assume something little Herbert leaves the door to the freezer open, they normally do as they think it is funny).

So it's not only depressed, but, dull and dreary in dirty Dartford and also frost free.
