Coast have a look at http://www.channelcoast.org/data_management/real_time_data/charts/I use it to gauge the sea levels, not that I've been able to get out fishing lately! #sendhighpressure

Yep, listed that one!

Thanks, Steve. Sorry if I sound a bit Tuty ATM. I'm having an off day. Had a bad start on FB and I've suspended my account. :(

No probs. Didn't pick up on anything anyway. I can be a bit thick skinned at times.

Evening everyone been at work all day so haven't been on. From what I can gather its going to get a bit rough later, how bad could it be in north kent?

I think it'll be very windy, but nothing exceptional. You'd probably do well to look at xcweather.co.uk and check the latest observations, to the west and extrapolate for the weather system moving east. :) - with a likely small downgrade in the windspeeds. Edited by Steve C

I should also add, as a caveat, that a squall line might change things. Look at radar returns for a long, thin line of intense rainfall. This could also indicate a brief period of very strong winds. I've not seen any discussion about this potential though. :)

Hi Steve, yes a good point and I agree. I think that the strongest gusts will most likely occur on/just ahead of the cold front with a marked veering of the wind direction and then a sudden dropping out of strength immediately afterwardsPosted Image

Hmm....that squall line could bring some heavy rain. Good luck to those who're going to the footy tonight. ;-)

Oi Tamarina, leave football alone otherwise I'll have to start taking the mick out of hockey!

Btw, you're looking fine in your new photo but I'd sack the photographer if I were you, no David Bailey is he, lighting all wrong, also was he shaking when he took it? Lol (Sorry no emoticons).

Ciao,

Tomasino.

It's picking up quite a bit here now and it's not even due until at least 9pm!

Stay safe out there people, stay snuggled up inside instead!

Sitting out in garden house atm so so windy!!

Yeah getting a bit noisy down my chimney/fire place here mate, gusts probably getting to gale-force now 35-45mph in that region I'd guess I'm expecting a fairly intense squall line to come through with that band of heavy around in the 3 hour period between 9pm and midnight might see a few 50mph+ gusts with 60+ near the south coast of Kent and maybe out in the Thames estuary!
