A period of moderate-heavy rain yesterday evening accompanied by a southerly gale with a mean speed of 43 mph around 1900.

The rain cleared to the east by mid-evening and the wind decreased to a moderate breeze, the cloud also cleared allowing a widespread ground frost and the closest approach to an air frost so far this month.

Currently it's clear and sunny with a few Cb tops visible on the northern horizon.

A dry and mainly sunny morning but with high cloud increasing towards midday. A few sunny intervals to start the afternoon but it became increasinlgy cloudy and by 1600 there were a few showers of rain and small hail.

The showers turned to sleet, then snow by 1650, and by 1730 there was a covering of snow.

Clear spells and some light rain and hail showers last night, became frosty, moderate to light WSW breeze.

Sunny start then rather cloudy. Showers of hail, rain, sleet and eventually snow 11 - 1500, these heavy and prolonged at times. 1cm hail observed. Some late sunny intervals. Cold with a moderate SW breeze. Ice and frost by 1700.
