cloudless with frost on cars, roofs etc although T=4.5C now with a breeze. Ground frost by late evening with a low of 1.2C 2 hours ago

Yesetday evening's snow cleared to the east by 1830 and the rest of the night was dry, breezy, clear and cold with the first air frost of the month recorded.

Currently it's dry with weak sunshine and 1.5cm of frozen snow lying. At 350 mts there's 2cm of snow and the snow line is around 250 mts.

 

At 0900;

Clear spells following the rain last night, widespread ground frost and a touch of air frost, low -0.1c with -4.0c on the grass. Currently mostly clear and feeling cold with a force 4 westerly wind. Untreated roads and pavements very icy this morning.

Moderate to heavy rain accompanied with strong SE winds and gale force gusts veered SW by mid evening and moderated with a clearance following. Temperatures dropped to around 1.3c with -2.3c on the grass by dawn. At observation, sun rising, clear, ground frost. Sunny spells through the morning and in to the afternoon. Before mid afternoon the sun was turning hazy as cloud increased from the SW. The early evening saw a short spells of light to moderate rain with clearance following through around 19:00 GMT.

Clear periods with a slight air frost last night, light WSW.

Sunny intervals to 1100 then cloudy with light rain and drizzle at times. Strengthening SSW wind which has been gusting gale force since 1500. Mild pm.

Apart from the occasional spot of showery rain this morning it's been a dry day. There were sunny periods this morning but from midday it became increasingly cloudy and breezy. All the lying snow had gone by mid-afternoon.
