Winds increased fresh to strong SE last night accompanied by a spell of light rain around midnight. Falling light SW after midnight, then backed SE increasing strong though the early hours. Cloudy and mild throughout. The morning has seen the cloud clearing allowing sunny spells.

A pleasant blustery enough day and dry after early showers. The forecast heavy rain never materialised overnight and neither did the heavy showers for today.

Drove to Great Rissington in the Cotswolds this afternoon encountered heavy rain showers with a little sleet around Bourton-on-the-Water. Further heavy showers here at Gt Rissington since we arrived 1600 with severe Gale gusts.
