Had sod all here apart from 20 or so seconds of light/moderate rain!!

Some pretty nasty dark clouds have been sweeping across the sky for the last half an hour, but so far nothing eventful  Posted Image

Also, isn't it about time NW removed the xmas smileys? Posted Image

I'd sooner have thunder any day than snow. Especially when it turns to mushy slush and filth. I'll have anyone's thunder who doesn't want it. :)

Afternoon all

Fine day all day today, right up until I left to come home and then (like yesterday) the heavens opened again, soaked through.  Well have no reason to go out this afternoon/evening so should be able to lounge around again (may even see the rest of the last Sherlock later too).

Afternoon all.

It ended up not being too bad today, although I expect quite a few showers here overnight.

Here's another 'Trigger' clip I like. Posted Image

Yes fully expect further potent showers through the evening/night here too.

Regards thunder, I am quite enjoying the utter tranquil peace and quiet I have here, neighbours are all out (or working later shifts), in the last couple of years I have really come to like and enjoy my own company and the peace and quiet that comes with it, not being a solcially miserable old git, far from it, I often go out, but now do enjoy the noiseless home I live in after a busy day at work (no phones ringing  for a start).

A couple of short lived showers here in Reigate so far this afternoon.

Latest from Fergieweather just posted on the MOD thread:

Update (just off blower to UKMO) - midnight MOGREPS-15 reduced easterly signal to circa 25% members for end of next week (so dropping back closer to expectations and in line with EC). Nonetheless, dichotomy of solutions is being watched very closely and the overriding message from Ops Centre is that the easterly solution remains very much a possibility and is by no means discounted at this juncture. Confidence low. However, rain Sat on occlusion in W Country northwards grabs the attention for now.... not good.

Looks like v bad news about more rain..... plus lower chances of easterly (mind you, that was the case a couple of days ago and then up it went, so who knows, apart from our friend Shannon maybe?)

The long autumn continuesPosted Image (at least for the time beingPosted Image ) I do NOT want thunder to be added to the drossy weather equation either!Posted Image

There are different types of unwanted pests around.. and thunder is one particular pest not to want to be posting about on this thread...

Apologies Condolences to those who like itPosted Image

It's really nothing to get excited about......it's an information theory developed by Claude E. Shannon to find fundamental limits on signal processing operations such as compressing data and on reliably storing and communicating data. Entropy quantifies the uncertainty involved in predicting the value of a random variable. For example, specifying the outcome of a fair coin flip (two equally likely outcomes) provides less information (lower entropy) than specifying the outcome from a roll of a die (six equally likely outcomes).

Oh contrare MK, that's pushing me well past any excitement limits I've experienced for a while !

Good evening folks, I hope everyone is well. Posted Image A band of heavy rain has just arrived here, sadly none of natures own fireworks as yet though.
