Hmm heck of a rain noise earlier on the conservatory roof and the cat's come in soaked but the weather station is reporting no rain?! I must have another family of spiders camping out in it Posted Image

I think they mean the one IN the text, not the title image Posted Image

That's the format for a parallel universe.....Posted Image

Evening everyone

As others have already commented, this really is a lovely Board with such wonderful and lovely people.

Coast - thanks for the headsup on the after 6pm rain timings - it meant I could make my trip to Farnham late pm without any anxiety about what might happen here in my absence. Drove through some torrential rain......but arrived back here to find all calm with a few cloudbursts and a well-behaved stream.

Radio 2 Simon Mayo drive-time record theme tonight was very appropriate re the confusion over the weather - so selections included ELO Confusion, Diana Ross Upside Down etc....

From some of the observations/news on here recently, as a tongue in cheek, I  thought I'd add one more to the mix for your entertainment tonight.......(obviously lyrics don't apply to our SE Regionnaires Board!).

Genesis - Land of Confusion with Spitting Image video!

Enjoy

xxx

Atrocious conditions driving in heavy rain around west London recently this evening, even saw the sky light up with lightning near Heathrow. Roads becoming flooded everywhere - even closed. How much more rain can we take?!

at 144 ukmo looks like this

cold as well with some showers rattling down from the north west

the next day when the low shoots south east i would call poss wintry showers

Quite a wind sprung up here and it's chilly. Rain has stopped for now anyway.

Meanwhile, back to Meet The Ancestors Revisited.

Night night all. Sweet dreams. :)

Can you get a record of lightning at all? Not just in the last hour or so, but over the last week, months etc?

edit - aha http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/weather/lightning/en/euro/UK/201401140000.htm

Just started bucketing down here - popped out and gave the weather station's pole a good shake to see if it clears the rain guage - the garden is still a complete bog!

edit - that didn't work.... will have to take it down at the weekend and clean it out :(

these troughs are like buses

Yeah but a trough say predicted for 1300hrs is more likely to turn up than a bus at a shown time on the table.....
