I'm sure that if I loved rain as much as snow

I would have been born in the Sahara

All cozy here with large hot water bottle at feet and two small ones by my side, and shawl on shoulders,as it seems very chilly tonight.

Well I had a quick look at the MAD thread, told them that I thought this winter would be a dud due to the QBO.I did say that next year may be differentthen I hastily withdrew.

Evening all

Just started raining here in Reigate.  Plenty more rain coming up it seems over the next 4 or 5 days, I guess the key question is where will those fronts stall. Plenty of areas could do without it.  Still hoping for a drier interlude, but I'm not sure it's coming....

Some beautiful moments on the drive to the office this morning, small openings when the fog lifted, the moon shone through the grey-pink dawning light and I felt like I could see again.

Evening all

Rain has arrived here (only found that out whilst on the phone to my father and he mentioned it), I have been cocooned indoors since arriving home this afternoon doing more cleaning and sorting/tidying round the house, hope to have it all sorted by the time spring gets here.

It was snowing this evening on Winterwatch, but even way up there it was sleety wet stuff.

Evening all.

Thanks to Jane Louise for for our new light touch thread Posted Image  And JJ1's news is splendid, well done and may it continue in the same way, fingers crossed. Happy 50th to (er, lost it on the previous thread) ...we are the new something, though I've forgotten what it was.

Foggy this morning and 0.5c, so some hoar frost around. I blame the ex-wife. Oh, hoar, I see.

I echo many other comments about JP's input here (as well as others) - I'm personally pleased to see him stick to our regional thread and avoid the brain-mashing elsewhere. Great work JP et al.

Just some of my own thoughts re: the broader scale outlook, courtesy of the MAD thread. Posted Image
