Started raing at 2.30am this morning just modererate falls at the moment with nothing exceding 7.2mm per Hour rainfall currently standing at 8.2mm winds slight to moderate gusting at around 10 m.p.h we have missed the worst of the storm so far and I hope it stays that way.

Cloudy and CALM with showers becoming heavier through the day so far.

Started off as drizzly affairs and just had a downpour, 1100 radar will be interesting.

Min of 12c and just nudging 14c now in a little brightness.

yesterdays is was blooody awfuls! very very windy and so many dark disgusting clods and the rains is comes down like river banks!! very torrential rains especially late evening into night times! terribals weather man! it is felt like october night!

today is starteds very calm and bright but rain and thunders is sweeps in and is now sweepts out and all is calm and all is bright and cloddy! 18c

So I woke up this afternoon after spending all night looking after my little 1, only to be told that i'd missed the big storm over here

I subsequently loaded up my lightning program that is from net-weather (great proggie graham), and it showed me there was a load of strikes and IC's around the manchester, burnley areas... I decided i'd go for a drive, unfortunately although I managed to find the rain, it looks like the majority of the storm had sissipated or moved on, and not having net access in my car yet (and no money for McDonalds WiFi) I couldnt check on the progress.

No great show for the North West today, just rain, rain and more rain to start with, drier in the late afternoon, but still gloomy and dull. No storms that the South had, think it's lost it's punch.
