Periods of moderate rain during the first half of last night but becoming dry by the early hours with a few cloud breaks. The strong to gale force SW wind decreased considerably after midnight.

A dry and cloudy start to today, the high and medium level cloud thickening slowly throughout the morning and the first spots of light rain now beginning to fall.
