I've made a blog entry about weather moments during the last winter it mainly highlights how stormy it really was http://forum.netweather.tv/blog/227/entry-4743-top-10-moments-of-the-winter-20132014/

A nice compilation there to remind us (as if we need reminding!) of what a battering we got. February's alphabet soup of storm names says it all...

The December 5th storm is there. Point #7 - "The First of Many Storms"

Does not mention the surge that the storm created, Scott apart from this I think its excellent.  I think due to effected whole east coast and its recognition it was worse than 1953 surely event deserve a mention.

I suppose you could say that the Autumn/Winter storm series actually started with the St. Jude's day storm in October (I don't think my other half will ever forget our delightful trip back from France in that one), followed by the intense squalls and thunderstorms of November 5th - crikey, when you look back it's been an amazing weather period.
