A very different feeling day with that classic passage of a cold front introducing polar air - didn't experience such conditions all winter!

 

This evening has seen some hefty shortlived showers and the fells should get a coating of snow over next 48 hours.

 

A chilly outlook.

Feels chilly out there this morning, currently dry and a mainly clear sky, 5c but feels like 0c, 1002hpa, and a gentle SW wind. I hope this 'cold' snap doesn't hang around for too long.

A few rain and light hail showers this afternoon and some big cloud skies but nothing of note.

Forecast is for snow over high ground later and into tomorrow but I can't see anything effecting my part of the region.

We have after all missed everything which has been forecast so far this winter and I can't see this time being any different although as I want this threat to not happen it will probably hit us head on.

Was chucking it down here about half an hour ago, the wind really got up too, sounded like a squall passing through......................comfortably lounging in my PJ'S on MY sofa with my teddy bear blanky, first weekend off in 4 months woohoo!!

 

Just checked radar it was just heavy rain earlier

with reports of only sleet at 400m in scotland,you just know it time to give up...LOL 

 

Cold spell you are joking felt quite warm in between the showers today

Manchester Airport has just issued a level one Snow alert from 0300 Saturday morning until 2300 Sunday

 

Temporary coverings of snow are possible during this period

Theres as much chance of snow in my neck of the woods as there is of me paying a foreign speeding fine !!!....

Just want sun and some warmth myself.Had enough downgrades and let downs to last a lifetime .

I'm heading there this evening from Paris - I'll let you know what's out there! The rain is certainly pretty intense here in Dijon right now, enough to wake me up early. Never mind, I've got my caggy and I don't have to go outside much.

Nice sunny start here and thankfully dry.

Off outside to paint my shed now before the snow, (sorry forgot the downgrade) rain starts later.
