Ice on the pond this morning, and a chilly -5.6C. It would have been very cold if it had been January.

A repeat of April 4th 2012? Managed to score a morning with lying snow that day after virtually nothing all winter, and a week after the March hot spell. Just one day that makes the MO rule would do, Feb 11th failed by an hour.

Today's maximum of 5.9c was, surprisingly, the lowest of the month. If there are no colder days between now and the 31st this will equal the record ( with 1997 ) of the highest lowest max' on record in March.

Regarding the maybes of tomorrow nights flurrys? I think there maybe a few surprises install but only a slight covering in places.

Just looking at that chart above, It's still great to see just on how cold it was for march.

Oh well!....We'll have to wait till next winter to see proper cold again for us coldies Posted Image

Increasingly trend for a rather decent weekend falling into place now, a few more shifts westward with that low and should be hitting 16-18c widely Sunday :D
