South East England & East Anglia Regional Weather Discussion 28/03/14

Tomorrow appears promising, from the latest runs - GFS 12Z CAPE is reasonable, more so in the West Country, it may be the trigger to spark some decent storms Heart Attack at a footie match... It bewilders me that it don't happen much more frequently especially supporting Millwall. I'm of a tender age but it does get the heart racing, I hope the Man recovers promptly.

I would take that as a upgrade, not bad for the London area.

Afternoon, best day of the week with the fog/cloud clearing to leave nice warm sunny spells. Just fair weather cloud this afternoon and no sign of any showers which is a shame. Hopefully tomorrow will deliver.

It was lovely weather for a few hours this afternoon, sun on my back whilst potting on tomatoes, BNS and courgettes. The most relaxed I've felt for ages. Roll on summer.

I've seen the latest forecast, things will be get going by the afternoon... The graphics did dictate a convective day. Particulary for the SW numerous clumps of heavy showers... Possibly thundery as the day goes on the risk transfers to the SE, Saturday is not looking as cool still a chilly start.

Also on the graphics... Cold air spills south from the Arctic North

Lots to keep us entertained - Hope we get something spectacular Meanwhile presently it's 11.9c, it will feel distinctly cooler by friday onwards, then what we have been currently enduring.

Morning all, cloudy and grey today, nothing exciting to report today, other than going up north, for 3 meetings today and 1 tomorrow, so hopefully a POETS day tomorrow. Hope everyone's well and have a great one.

As it gets lighter I have noticed a few raindrops on the window, bit of a surprise.

Morning, some rain around here, but the cloud is high and quite broken so it is allowing the sun through from time to time.

Hoping for some storms today.

Though like so many days, the cape seems to downgrade as the day approaches

Looked so much more promising yesterday.

Mornin each. Raining, chilly, still, and sky is a solid mass of dove grey.

Will it....or won't it today.........? Let's wait and see.

Feels like I've been transported to North Wales or the Lake District today - dull, dreary, rather wet and quite cool. Will have to see how the cloud breaks later if anything is going to kick off convection-wise. Otherwise, a good day to have an exam!
