Looks like things are setting off on its eastern edge, exactly what we need!

Very threatening here in Portsmouth dark dark sky's and rain

Night time? Posted Image

Looks like all is dying off for today now. Bit disappointing for the Midlands so far but oh well, more chances this week.

In Portsmouth for 3 weeks, but back in Peterborough for the weekends. Looked impressively dark earlier on. Hoping for some sferics to kick off over the Channel in the next few hours Posted Image

Shame it all seems to have pulled together into one big messy area of rain. Maybe the odd sferic somewhere in among it overnight.

I had slight hope for an evening thunderstorm , but I knew it was too good to be true here Posted Image , being realistic its going to be just moderate rain here no doubt,  then again I had  a 3 flashes of night lightning on thursday,

The eastern side of the front hasn't materialised as it should (by now), but is now just heavy rain with the odd flicker mixed in.

EDIT: The track seem to be NWwards (the rain) while the front moves NE, but by the time it gets to NW England, it'll all be in N Ireland and the Irish Sea UNLESS there is development on the eastern side.

But nothing happening out here anymore. Only rain with a few heavier pulses mixed in!

Anyone know if tomorrow will be convective again?

Tomorrow looks a little flat... But Weds regarding CAPE looks another interesting senario/day and how that will come about we will see over the coming day or so ?

Definitely the eastern part of the band with any sort of energy left in it.

Currently there's more going for Weds than today ? With the Dam 546 line well over us, bringing warm & moist air over the uk.

Cape also bringing the ingredients that could be a very thundery outlook for some Posted Image
